Registration is open to former pupils, current and former parents, grandparents, as well as past and present members of staff. Celebrating Our History

St Hilda’s holds a remarkable collection of school photographs and historical images, with annual school photos dating back to the early years of the school. More recent photographs, digital archives and contributions from the Old Girls network add to this valuable collection. Our galleries will allow you to explore the school’s heritage offering a nostalgic window into life at St Hilda’s across the decades.

We also welcome contributions from former pupils and families. Your memories, stories and photographs form an important part of our shared history, and we would love to include them as the archive grows.

Events and Reunions

The year 2026 marks an exciting milestone — 135 years of St Hilda’s. To celebrate, we will be hosting an Alumni event bringing together former pupils, families and staff to mark this special occasion. Further details will be shared with the Alumni community once confirmed, along with information about future reunions and opportunities to reconnect in person.

We hope these events will give old friends a chance to catch up, rediscover the school, and celebrate the traditions that have always made St Hilda’s such a special place.

We can`t believe it has been a week already since those words from `Oh, the Places You`ll Go!` echoed beautifully through St Nicholas` Church as our school community gathered for this year`s Leavers` Service.

Together, pupils, parents, grandparents, siblings and staff paused to give thanks for another remarkable year at St Hilda`s. Through heartfelt readings, beautiful singing and thoughtful prayers we celebrated all that has been achieved, whilst also looking ahead with excitement and hope to all that is still to come.

For our Form VI girls, the service marked the close of one chapter and the beginning of another. It was a moment to reflect on friendships made, confidence gained and memories that will stay with them forever.

To our leavers: wherever your next adventure takes you, may you go with courage, kindness and the quiet confidence that will always make you part of the St Hilda`s family.

From the first race to the final relay, the track was filled with determination, encouragement and plenty of House pride. There were personal bests and thrilling finishes, but above all there was the unmistakable spirit of St Hilda`s: girls giving their all, celebrating one another`s successes, and embracing every challenge with smiles on their faces.

As we mark 135 years of St Hilda`s School, it was a wonderful celebration of courage, resilience, teamwork and community — values that unite today`s competitors with generations of girls, and their families, before us.

A huge thank you to our pupils, staff, families and Guest of Honour for making this year`s Sports Day such a memorable chapter in the story of St Hilda`s.

At St Hilda`s, every girl has a story, an idea or a cause worth sharing. At our recent Public Speaking Competition, Form VI were given a platform to debate some of these, showcasing their strong oratory skills in front of special guest judge, Kirsti Wenn, Town Mayor of @harpendentowncouncil.

This annual TED-style event encourages our pupils to speak with confidence, conviction and creativity, demonstrating that powerful ideas can come from any age. From deliberating the definition of true success and arguing why children`s books are so important, to evaluating equality in women’s football and questioning whether Taylor Swift is more than a popstar, the girls` rigorous research and passion was clear to all, with the audience enjoying clear, confident and persuasive performances.

Congratulations to all our speakers, and thank you to Mayor Wenn for taking the time to join us. Your encouragement and support helped make the afternoon such a special occasion for all.
